Retreats

Overnight retreat guests will enjoy all the comfort and amenities of the HOPE Conference Center. Single, double, and triple occupancy rates are available.

Registration is online, in person at Lutherdale, or call (262) 742-2352 for paper registration.

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required for overnight retreats; full payment is required two weeks prior to event. In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel, Lutherdale is able to issue a refund, minus the $100 deposit up to 2 weeks in advance of the event date. Retreat details will be emailed 2 weeks prior to start of retreat.

A Weekend with Paul Oman: Parables

January 30-February 1, 2026

Throughout this retreat, you will see the Parables of Jesus come to life before your eyes as Paul paints on a large-scale canvas as he teaches. We will explore the often overlooked meanings of the Parables as understood "through Middle Eastern eyes" the time of

Jesus. Music and dramatized readings will accompany portions of the painting process.

Bring a Bible and be ready to see these familiar stories become new again! You will have opportunities to actively participate at your own comfort level throughout the in various ways. No artistic experience is necessary whatsoever. This will be an unforgettable, engaging experience in God's Word.

Faith & Visual Arts with Paul Oman

February 1-2, 2026

Ministry professonals, join visual artist and Pastor Paul Oman to experience the Gospel come alive in Word, Art and Music. You will discover ways in which you can integrate the arts into worship, preaching and teaching to deepen the engagement of your people in the Gospel. Paul will demonstrate useful, "take-home" possibilities for your ministries which you can apply to the upcoming Season of Lent and beyond. He will paint on large-scale canvas to bring a story into view as he presents, and will show you how you can unleash the gifts of your people in profoundly meaningful yet simple ways, even if art seems intimidating. Visual art becomes a language in which faith conversations are inspired. In addition, Paul will briefly discuss the history of art and the Church, as well as recent understandings of the brain and its functioning in regards to the arts, music, memory, meaning, Bible, and theology.

Day Events

Day events are the perfect opportunity to connect with God and others at Lutherdale while participating in programs led by resource leaders & Lutherdale staff. Adult Events must be paid in full upon registration. Payment for Adult Events are non-refundable.

Lunch is included. Arrival is 10 am and departure is 1 pm, unless noted otherwise.

Travel Ministry Luncheon

Participants will have the exclusive opportunity to learn about the overnight, full day, and destination trips planned and register for them while enjoying a delicious meal prepared by Chef Robin.
