Health & Safety

Updated January 1, 2022

Our highest priority is always to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our campers, guests, and staff.

In accordance with best practices and guidelines from the CDC, ACA, local health authorities,

and other medical professionals, we have created these COVID-19 protocols.

We will remain in step with best practices and adjust our protocols as necessary.

Our protocols contain many layers, which we feel will help provide safe spaces,

and still allow for a memorable experience at Lutherdale.

Covid-19 Key Prevention Strategies

  • Campers will complete a Health Screen at check-in.

  • Campers will be assigned to villages of 12 - 32 campers.  All camp activities are done within their village with minimal interaction with other villages.

  • Masks will be recommended during camper check-in and any time that campers need to interact with people outside of their cohort, when indoors, or when physical distancing is not possible.

  • Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols will continue, including daily cleaning of cabins and high-touch surfaces.

  • Meals will be served cafeteria-style and campers will eat outdoors as much as possible.

Covid-19 Key Prevention Strategies

  • Proof of vaccination against Covid-19 for all participants is required.

  • Participants must be full vaccinated, meaning the departure date must be at least 14 days after the second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine or at least 14 days aft a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine.

  • Masks must be worn at all times while participants are indoors and on the bus.

What is acceptable proof of vaccination?  Physical vaccination cards may be shown as well as copies or digital photos.  Photos on mobile phones are acceptable.  Proof of vaccination must accompany a valid driver’s license or state-issued ID.

How long will this policy be in effect?  Lutherdale staff meet regularly and will review protocols once per month to ensure protocols are modified based on the most up-to-date CDC and local health department recommendations.

If you are ill, for the health and safety of all participants, please do not come on the trip.  Rather, please contact our office (262) 742-2352 or to discuss options.
