Time for Us: Summer Camp for Teens Sunday, July 31 - Friday, August 5, 2011

TIME FOR US is a great camping opportunity for teens from 9 to 16 years of age who have a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or a similar diagnosis. While most of each day is spent on fun camp activities - ropes challenge, tower climbing, canoeing, water sports, field sports, etc. - a portion of the time focuses on an understanding of Alzheimer’s and memory challenges through a unique Keeper of Memories program. Campers who attended the 2010 camp said it was “Great!” - and are coming back and bringing siblings!
Campers will gain knowledge, coping skills, peer support and relationships that may assist them for years to come. The camp is sponsored by the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin and forMemory, a network of persons affected by early memory challenges. We welcome persons of all faiths and world views.
TIME FOR US activities take place of Lutherdale’s Bible study time. There is an optional short interfaith prayer at common meals.
